Dr. Abraham Alboher O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Abraham Alboher O.D. is an optometrist who is proficient and trained in ocular disease, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, orthokeratology, myopia management, as well as providing general ocular health care.

Dr. Alboher graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry, where he was awarded the Louis Herrmann Memorial Award for academic excellence. He acquired his clinical experience in ocular disease by rotating through the Hudson Valley Veterans Affairs Hospital System and Gouverneur Hospital, an NYC Health System Hospital.

Dr. Alboher has extensive clinical experience diagnosing and managing dry eye disease, ocular surface disease, meibomian gland dysfunction, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and corneal conditions. His specialized focus on dry eye management includes the use of the latest medications, advanced diagnostic tools, and personalized treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs. He is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field, continuously expanding his knowledge of cutting-edge therapies.

In addition to dry eye management, Dr. Alboher is highly skilled in orthokeratology and myopia management. He provides non-surgical solutions for controlling myopia progression in children and adults, using the latest innovations in contact lenses to improve vision and reduce dependency on glasses or daytime contact lenses.

In addition to a concentration in ocular disease, Dr. Alboher possesses clinical expertise working with specialty rigid lenses (scleral and prosthetic) and soft lenses (multifocal, astigmatic, spherical).

Dr. Alboher is a member of the American Optometric Association, New Jersey State Optometric Association, and Contact Lens Society of America. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a warm and compassionate disposition. When not in the office, Dr. Alboher enjoys spending time with his family, watching the Chiefs win the superbowl, surfing, snowboarding and other outdoor activities.

Richard Corney O.D.

Optometrist

He joined the Eye Doctor group right out of school where he helped develop and manage the vision therapy program. In addition, he has mentored over forty doctors during his seventeen years with the company.
 

He co-founded Flanders Family Eye Care over 15 years ago.
 

Dr. Corney enjoys helping patients fulfill their needs. During his off time he spends time with his three children, as well as pursuing his hobbies of boating, rugby among many other outdoor activities.

Brenda Lynly O.D.

Optometrist

Following graduation she completed a residency at Omni Eye Services in Baltimore, MD. She was on staff at Kaiser Permanente in the Washington, DC area before relocating to New Jersey in 1996. Dr. Lynly and her husband moved to Finland in 2011 when her husband took another position within his company, returning to New Jersey at the end of 2013. Dr. Lynly believes that listening to her patients is the most important part of the eye examination. She and her husband have two dogs and love golf, boating, and travel.

 

Dr. Justin Schaefers

Optometrist

    ​​​​Dr. Justin Schaefers is trained in full-scope optometry and provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, including pediatric care. He is experienced in fitting both standard and specialty contact lenses.

    In addition to routine eye exams, Dr. Schaefers specializes in the medical management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and dry eye syndrome, as well as the co-management of ocular surgeries.

    Dr. Schaefers earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences School of Optometry in Worcester, Massachusetts. During his clinical training, he completed several externships in diverse settings, including community health centers, Veterans Affairs hospitals, and private practices across the country.

    He is passionate about giving back to both local and international communities. Dr. Schaefers has provided vision screenings for churches and the Special Olympics. Through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) International, he traveled to Nicaragua to provide much-needed eye care to underserved populations.

    Originally from South Dakota, Dr. Schaefers earned his undergraduate degree in cellular biology from the University of South Dakota.

    Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young family.

    Dr. Schaefers is a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association.
